Meditation Beginners: Practice Meditation While Walking

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

Walking alone has always provided me with the time to mindfully quiet my thinking. Walking in the early morning is my perfect start of the day.
I mean really early. The silence of the morning without traffic and listening to the birds is wonderful.

Calmly observe the environment and become aware of it. I become aware of the way the air touches my skin, the colors of the sky, the mood the trees set and of all the sounds that are produced. Begin breathing deeply at first. Walk steadily with big, firm steps but not too fast. Then, when I feel like I’m in sync, I begin to consciously turn my mind off.
I concentrate on my breathing. Inhale during two or three steps and exhale for the following. If you start thinking about something bring your attention to your breathing. I just ignore myself. Before you know it you will be doing nothing but moving and you will be as relaxed as if you were sitting and meditating. The pace matches the rhythm of my breathing. The pulse is slow and steady. I thoroughly enjoy nothingness.

Often my spirit will divulge important messages to me as if by osmosis;; they just occur completely. Not thinking, but as a sensation, a fact a feeling, not as a thought. You may want to use a few words of these messages to repeat. These words consistently touch exactly what the spirit and soul know you need to address. Keep going you will know when it is time to go back.

People who are enlightened both in body and mind have since long been practicing walking meditation. The two, walking and meditating go together smoothly. Walking and meditating provide the time and space to connect with your soul.

Silent or with music, anything goes. It is up to you. Choose what works for you best. Don’t be afraid to experiment. Try it all and then decide what works best. But as in normal meditation try to be consistent and try to meditate every day. Also try to practice at the same time every day this will more easy grow into a daily habit without much effort.

This is just an introduction you can find more on walking meditation from different sources. The important thing is that you get started and try to uphold a daily practice. Good Luck to you.

Rubbing Down Your Week - Massage Chair For Sale

Saturday, May 15th, 2010

Perhaps you have previously had a single of those mornings as you slide out of bed on the completely wrong side and this seems like each and every bone along with each and every muscle inside you has been tramped on all night by a herd of stampeding rhinoceroses? I had one 2-3 weeks in the past, the sub-zero temperatures didn’t support and a cozy hot water bottle had long since dropped its temperature and in fact sensed like a chunk of ice towards my rear.

‘Anything needs to be undertaken concerning it’ I assured myself. Although less than particular of what exactly was to be carried out. During the lunch break I went over the high street and on passing one belonging to the big-name home furniture outlets, I noticed a sign over inside the next corner of the store: Massage chairs for sale - I couldn’t believe my good fortune till I walked in and noticed that the ones for sale had been nevertheless over a 1000 bucks, not really the amount of dollars I had free the 1st week right after the holiday season.

Gloomily I came back to my workplace, my hope dashed. Though there has been nevertheless a glimmer of hope. As the chief wasn’t looking I did a tiny bit web research, typing ‘Massage chair for sale‘ in to my personal favorite search engine. Well there had been reclining people, pulsating people, robotic people, inflatable people, leather people, polyester ones, single ones and double ones and ones with small cup holders. Regrettably I would not be buying any of them. All over again, even the so named as ’sales’ and ‘bargain offers’ had been nevertheless way past my league.

It appeared my aching bones were likely to continue to aching in the end. Along the way to my residence inside the bus there was a small child behind me, a fidgety small guy, I can see he was a handful. Definitely not long on the route, like most kids do, he started pounding my seat. I didn’t actually have the energy to look right behind to present his tired mom a scathing look. I just decided, ‘Do your worst, little one, you will not cause me come to feel any worse than I now do’.

However I immediately started to really feel better, somehow the cloud of pains and aches that were being together with me all day started to lift. The small kid with the fidgety feet was actually massaging my aching back with his kicking! Returning at my house I quickly called for my 5 year old son. No greater a fidgeter you are going to actually encounter. ‘Why don’t we have a game of rough and tumble!’ I suggested, and was feeling the anxiety and strain from the day get away as he leaped all over me. Who really needs a massage chair anyway?

What Differentiates Massage Chairs

Saturday, June 13th, 2009

Looking to buy a massage chair requires more than visiting a shop and sitting in a bunch of different chairs. To make to most of your trip, it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the key components to look for in a new massage chair. Knowing your needs as well as restrictions, such as budget, is also a good idea.

Three key things that differentiate massage chairs are massage functions, upholstery, and physical design. Other variations are less obvious and you have to carefully read the specifications to learn the little but important things about the chair.

Most chairs come with rolling, kneading, tapping and percussions. These are the most important massage functions built into every massage chair of every price range. More expensive chairs offer an extension to these functions as well as the option to combine functions to be performed at the same time or in specific sequences.

Massage techniques also vary in their range of speeds and intensity of these functions. More advanced chairs can perform a wider range of speeds and intensities while the most basic chair might offer just a few functions and a single speed and no distinction in intensity.

The material of upholstery usually is used by manufacturers to distinguish the premium lines from the budget lines. Leather and leathermatch will cost more and tend be packaged with other fancy features of high end chairs while cloth and microfiber will be a staple of budget chairs.

The design of the chair is important to many and for good reason. Since they tend to be bulky, most people keep them in their living room and it serves double purpose as a lounge chair. For that reason, it’s not uncommon for the look of the chair to be a deal breaker or maker. However, there are also chairs that come with rollers so they can be tilted, rolled, and tucked away when not in use.

But there is an even more important factor in play with physical design and that is the comfort the chair provides. A chair with puffy looking cushions can deceive you into thinking it is more comfortable to lounge in than it really might be. Some chairs are designed with removable layers of padding so you can adjust it to the right level of comfort.

In the end, the most important factor in buying a chair is finding the most comfortable massage chair. After all the differences, remember that what you’re looking for is something to relax in. Make it something you look forward to at the end of the day.
